I tried this IPA the other day with very few expectations. Not because I don’t trust Boston Breweries (it’s well documented that I enjoy their beer) but more because there are so many IPAs out there that one must expect that not all of them are going to be great.
Well this one is. It’s marvellous. I was so delighted to start a little post-work drinking session with this IPA that I had … let’s say… more than one. It was just the best beer in the Jozi heat.
It pours a wonderful amber colour and, on tap, the head is impressive. The aromas are everything you expect from an IPA – hoppy, grassy and citrusy. The flavours, too, are exactly what you expect – slightly fruity, bitter and refreshing as hell.
I haven’t tried this bottled yet, but on tap it’s delicious. Give it a try!
